Tips for a Healthy Far Infrared Sauna Regimen
Here are some tips for a healthy infrared sauna regimen to get you started:
- For most new clients we recommend using your sauna every other day for 30 minutes. You do not need to wait for sauna to reach Set Temperature to begin your session. Once sauna cabin air temperature reaches 90 degrees F, you may hop in and get started. Let your body warm up along with the air temperature.
- You can receive just as much health benefit at 115 degrees F as you can at 135 degrees F. Find the temperature that is most comfortable for you and still allows you to sweat profusely.
- Do not set the sauna cabin air temperature above 140 degrees F. Many new users do not sweat right away and this is not unusual. It may take a few sessions and adequate fluid intake to re-activate your lymph glands to trigger your sweat glands.
- Proper hydration is a keystone to accomplishing proper sweating. 60 -120 fluid ounces Per Day of spring water, fruit juices, Arizona green tea, electrolyte sports drinks, etc. are needed to get the best results from your sauna sessions. Please give us a call if you have any questions regarding proper hydration amounts and we will be glad to help.
- Cool down after your sauna session for 10-15 minutes until you stop sweating. Then you may shower. Use a rough surface exfoliating cloth, Loofah or various body brushes to ensure that you are removing excreted toxins and dead skin.
