Rocky Mountain Saunas Limited Lifetime Warranty

Rocky Mountain Saunas provides the Best Far Infrared Sauna Limited Lifetime Warranty in the Industry against defective material(s) and/or workmanship.  It covers all components, parts, labor and shipping costs for as long as you own your sauna.

I. Warranty Coverage

Wood Components

Grade A lumber is used on all sauna models.  Wood is a living material that continues to respond to climate conditions, even after being manufactured into a sauna. Prior to shipping, the wood is inspected for consistency, color and quality.  Variations in the color or grain, and irregularities such as fine cracks are part of the natural beauty of the wood and in no way are considered defects.

Since the wood used in the infrared saunas has been kiln dried, a certain amount of expansion and contraction occurs in the wood within a sauna environment. During normal operation, wood may develop fine cracks due to the changes in humidity level of the wood. This is considered normal and will not affect the structural integrity of the sauna.

Rocky Mountain Saunas are shipped around the globe, and can experience slight blemishes, scratches or scuffs in transit.  All structures using wood are susceptible to minor dents, scratches and scuffing which are not covered by warranty. This is normal and will not affect the integrity, operation or Limited Lifetime Warranty of your sauna.

In most cases, minor wood blemishes on the exterior of the sauna may be treated by using a small amount of furniture polish, tung oil or other furniture treatment products. Please avoid any treatment containing Benzene or a high concentration of alcohol. Any interior blemishes, scratches, scuffs or chips can be either left alone, sanded or combination of gluing plus sanding.

Any compensation for small aesthetic repairs or minor cosmetic damage will be determined solely by Rocky Mountain Saunas Inc.

Electrical Components

Rocky Mountain Saunas provides an Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship or materials on ALL Nano-Carbon™ Heater Panels. Rocky Mountain Saunas provides an Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship or materials on ALL Electrical Components. i.e.:  Control Panels, Thermostat sending unit, CPU, Terminal Blocks and relays, 12v system, etc.

Glass Doors and Windows

Tempered Glass Door is under warranty through the shipping process.  Once the sauna kit has arrived at its final destination and the door is intact, any cracking, breakage or damage of the glass door is the responsibility of the client to repair or replace.

Accessories / Optional Upgrades

Accessories included with the sauna (Ionizer, Chromotherapy Light, Wood Accessories and Light Bulbs) are covered for a One Year Warranty from date of purchase.

Optional Custom One-Way Privacy Wrap has a One Year Warranty for both indoor and outdoor applications.  Sales of all Custom One-Way Privacy Wraps are final at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.

Warranty on custom made Seat Cushions and Sauna Covers are covered through delivery for manufacturing defects.  Slight color variation may occur due to different computer screen settings and as such do not qualify as a defect.  Sales of cushions and covers are final at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.

The standard FM CD Player issued with 2018 and older models is covered by a One Year Replacement Warranty through Rocky Mountain Saunas.  Unauthorized installation or removal of stereo may void warranty.  Rocky Mountain Saunas must be notified prior to install or removal of stereo for specific instructions.

Commercial Units - Aspen, Vail and Montana Models

Commercial models used in a residential location will carry a 5-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.  All warranty qualifications and disclaimers apply during the 5-year warranty term.

Commercial Office Locations

Any Rocky Mountain Saunas unit used in a commercial application will have a 3-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials from the original date of purchase. This includes all residential and commercial units.  All warranty qualifications and disclaimers apply during the 3-year warranty term.

All sauna models placed in a commercial application are required to be on an individual dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

High Traffic Commercial Locations

Any Rocky Mountain Saunas unit used in a high traffic commercial application will have a 6-month warranty against defects in workmanship or materials from the original date of purchase. This includes all residential and commercial units.  All warranty qualifications and disclaimers apply during the 6-month warranty term.

All sauna models placed in a high traffic commercial location are required to be on an individual dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

Outdoor Locations

Saunas used in outside locations will carry a 3-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.  Any sauna placed outdoor requires a cedar wood cabin and must have a weather resistant cover purchased from Rocky Mountain Saunas to maintain the Warranty.

Covers and thermal liners have a one-year warranty from the manufacturer.  Failure to utilize the .004 plastic sheet supplied as additional water protection for your sauna will void your warranty.

The fabric used for the roof of the weatherproof cover is resistant to water penetration; however, it is sewn to the acrylic canvas sides. It is required to place the plastic sheet included directly over the sauna roof prior to installing the weather resistant cover and placing an object on the sauna roof to give the fabric elevation for water run off as further protection. Electrical issues experienced due to failure of elevating or maintaining the fabric cover are not considered a defect in manufacturing or workmanship.

Like any wood exposed to the elements, it is required to treat the exterior wood of the sauna regularly to keep it from deteriorating.

Hawaii / Alaska / Non-US Sales

Rocky Mountain Saunas sold into Hawaii, Alaska or anywhere else outside the Contiguous United States will retain the Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in workmanship or material.

The return of any sauna sold outside the Contiguous United States is prohibited.

    III. Shipping Coverage

    Shipping Damage

In the rare case damage should happen during the shipping process, it is required that a phone call is made to Rocky Mountain Saunas prior to the delivery driver leaving the delivery site.  It is also required that pictures of the damage be sent within 24 hours of receipt of the sauna to customerservice@rockymountainsaunas.com.  Failure to comply with this process may disqualify any damage from being covered by warranty.

    Storage / Will Call Units

Rocky Mountain Saunas will hold a purchased sauna for 30 days from the date of purchase at no charge.  After 30 days from the date of purchase, a $50 per month storage fee will be charged and required to be paid prior to shipment of the sauna.

Rocky Mountain Saunas will store sauna for a period not to exceed 120 days from the date of purchase. (30 days free storage / 90 days paid storage)  Any exceptions to this policy must be agreed upon in writing by both Buyer and Seller.

If client has not taken delivery of the sauna within 120 days from the date of purchase, the sauna will be considered abandoned with all monies forfeited.

For any order cancelled prior to shipment from the Rocky Mountain Saunas warehouse, buyer will be responsible for any applicable administrative and processing fees, storage fees and costs associated with storing the goods, as well as a restocking fee of $395 for residential models or a 15% restocking fee for commercial models.   The applicable fees will be deducted from the amount returned to purchaser.  The cost of any non-refundable accessory (seat cushion, outdoor cover, customer one-way privacy wrap, etc.) will not be returned to the purchaser.

All sales of custom made, closeout and discontinued saunas and parts, both residential and commercial models, regardless of shipment status are non-refundable.

      Sauna Returns

The return of any sauna unit once shipped is prohibited.  The only exception made to this policy is for units determined by Rocky Mountains Saunas to have a defect in materials and/or workmanship beyond repair.

The sauna must be returned in the same condition it was originally received and in its original packing cartons with packing materials, along with the shipping pallet.

Seller may refuse to refund all or any portion of payment if Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.

      V. Liabilities

Rocky Mountain Saunas and any of its subsidiaries and/or associates shall not be held responsible for any misuse of the sauna by the client. We shall not be held liable for any damage and/or injury caused by client misuse of product.

          3. The issuance of replacement parts at no cost to the purchaser is covered under the warranty, subject to parts availability from manufacturer.

          4. The Limited Lifetime Warranty is deemed void if the sauna has been misused, altered or left exposed to sun, rain, snow, wind or hail. Non-compliance with instructional use by the end user will also void the warranty.

          5. Sauna mistreatment, misuse, neglect and high traffic "wear and tear" damage (ie: broken cup holders, door handles, wood slats, etc.) are not considered warranty issues.

          6. Rocky Mountain Saunas reserves the right to decide whether the warranty claim is valid or considered a non-warrantied item.

          7. In the rare case a return of a non-defective unit is agreed upon by Rocky Mountain Saunas and the purchaser, buyer shall assume all risk of loss associated with the return as well as shipping, handling, restocking and other fees, costs and expenses as described in this policy.

Sauna must be returned in the same condition it was originally received.  For sanitary reasons, Rocky Mountain Saunas will not exchange or accept for return any sauna that has signs of use.  This includes, but is not limited to, sweat stains.  Rocky Mountain Saunas reserves the right to request pictures of any sauna, both interior as well as exterior, to verify the condition of the sauna prior to issuing a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

All returned goods must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).  In order to receive RMA approval, the sauna must be returned in its original packing cartons with packing materials, along with the shipping pallet. Seller may refuse to refund all or any portion of any payment, or cancel payment due and owing if the Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.

Rocky Mountain Saunas reserves the right to refuse to refund any deposit or payment, or cancel any payment due, and any owing until such time as Seller:

          • is in receipt of the goods
          • has inspected the goods and
          • in the Seller's discretion, has found the goods to be free of damage

All cancelled or returned goods shall be subject to:

          1. Storage fees, Administrative and Processing fees and any other costs associated with routing the goods
          2. Handling and restocking fee in the amount of $395.00 USD for each residential sauna and 15% restocking fee for each commercial sauna.
          3. All shipping costs to and from the Seller and
          4. Seller providing a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number.  Buyer's failure to obtain the RMA number shall result in Seller not accepting any returned shipment and Buyer paying all costs and fees. All such costs and fees as determined by Seller shall be paid by Buyer to Seller upon demand by Seller.

            8. All sales of custom made, closeout and discontinued saunas, both residential and commercial models, regardless of shipment status are non-refundable.

            SAUNA SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS

Rocky Mountain Saunas is committed to making safety our #1 priority. Internationally recognized safety certifications assure you that all our saunas have attained a high level of quality construction, safety and performance standards.
Below is a list of our current Safety Certifications from International Testing Laboratories authorized to approve infrared sauna safety standards in North America, Canada and the European Union.

            ISO develops International Standards.

iso.gifRocky Mountain Saunas’ manufacturing facility has implemented a quality management system in order to maintain the highest standards in product development and quality assurance and is proud to have earned the prestigious ISO 9001 Certification.

ISO International Standards ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. International Standards give state of the art specifications for products, services and good practice, helping to make industry more efficient and effective. Developed through global consensus, they help to break down barriers to international trade.

Founded in 1947, and since then have published more than 19,500 International Standards covering almost all aspects of technology, manufacturing and business. From food safety to computers, and agriculture to healthcare, ISO International Standards impact all our lives.

The ISO story began in 1946 when delegates from 25 countries met at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London and decided to create a new international organization ‘to facilitate the international coordination and unification of industrial standards’. In February 1947 the new organization, ISO, officially began operations.

Today ISO includes members from 163 countries and 3,368 technical bodies to take care of standard development. More than 150 people work full time for ISO’s Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.

More about the history of ISO.

Because ‘International Organization for Standardization’ would have different acronyms in different languages (IOS in English, OIN in French for Organisation internationale de normalisation), the founders decided to give it the short form ISO. ISO is derived from the Greek isos, meaning equal. Whatever the country, whatever the language, the short form of the name is always ISO.
