  • Rocky Mountain Saunas are not meant to be directly exposed to the elements, sun, rain, snow, etc., so a custom made, Sunbrella™, weatherproof cover, along with a cedar wood upgrade, will be required in any outdoor location.

The Cedar wood upgrade for outside locations is required.  Cedar is the best wood for retaining interior cabin heat and is much more durable in the wider climate swings of outside locations.  With the cedar upgrade and weatherproof cover in place, our Limited Lifetime Warranty on your Rocky Mountain Sauna will be honored.

Custom Made Sunbrella™ Canvas Covers

Sunbrella™ is a well-known name in the outdoor furniture industry.  Rocky Mountain Saunas uses Sunbrella™ fabrics because the fabrics are:

  • Easy to Clean
  • Stain Resistant
  • Fade Resistant
  • UV Protective
  • Mold and Mildew Resistant  

Each cover is constructed of a Rugged, Weatherproof, Marine Grade Canvas with Large, Heavy Duty Zipper.  The rollup front panel has 3 sturdy tie straps as well as a slot for the sauna power cord to fit through. 

Each cover comes with a 1-year manufacturing warranty.

Thermal or Insulated Liner

For locations that have snow and cold temperatures during the winter months, a Sunbrella™ cover with either a Thermal Liner (for temperatures as low as 15-20°F) or an Insulated Liner (for temperatures as low as negative -15°F) is recommended for faster warm-up times and better heat retention. 

On top of additional insulation, both the Thermal and Insulated Liners also offer:

  • Infrared Shielding
  • Prevents growth of fungi or bacteria
  • Flame Resistant class B A B A stm E 84-94
  • Non-Toxic/ Non-Carcinogenic/ Non-Outgassing
  • Puncture and Tear Resistant

Note: Thermal and Insulated covers must be protected by our standard, weather-proof, Sunbrella™ cover for outdoor use. 

Disclaimer: Failure to utilize the .004 plastic sheet supplied as additional water protection for your sauna will void your warranty. The fabric used for the roof of the waterproof cover is resistant to water penetration, however it is sewn to the acrylic canvas sides. It is required to place the plastic sheet included directly over the sauna roof prior to installing the cover and an object must be placed on the sauna roof to give the fabric elevation for water run off as further protection.
